Prairie Township Community Center is offering Spring Break classes, March 25 -29 from 9am – 4pm & another set of classes from May 4-12 (Sat & Sun only) from 9am – 5pm.  The cost is $100 if you apply for a lifeguard position, otherwise it is $225.

  • Any boy interested in playing baseball this season, conditioning starts today after school in the rec.
  • Attention all current and future track athletes!  Indoor track starts up on Monday, February 4th.  We will run every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday until the beginning of outdoor track in March.  Practices are from 3:40 until around 5:00.  You must have a current physical on file and an up to date emergency medical card turned into one of your coaches.  See Coach Eckard in room 801 for more details or for the forms you need.
  • Shout out to the Westland Cougar Wrestlers! They wont their first home match against Hilliard Davidson over the weekend 40-34. Great job Cougars!

The BOYS TENNIS meeting is rescheduled for TOMORROW, Tuesday, January 15th at 7:30 am in the Library.  If you cannot attend but are interested please check with the AD Mr. George in the office for more information. Boys Tennis is a SPRING Sport, so it will be for THIS YEAR. See you tomorrow at 7:30!

The swim team had a great meet at the Teays Valley Invitational on Saturday. Peyton Madden finished 5th in both the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 Backstroke while Porter Madden finished 4th in the 100 Breaststroke and set a new school record. Tim Wotring also set a new record in the 500 Freestyle. Congratulations also go to swimmers Brenna Gilliam and Laura Ornelas for setting new personal records.
