Do you like to write? Do you like history? Want to win $10,000? Submit an essay to the Profile in Courage Essay Contest. Your essay must describe and analyze an act of political courage by any US elected official who served during or after 1917. For more information, see Mrs. Young in the library. Submissions are due January 4.


Yesterday was National Chicken Soup for the Soul Day. Interested in a feel good read? Come check out all the Chicken Soup for the Soul books the library has!


Attention Student Council members! The next student council meeting will be after school on Wednesday, November 15. We will plan our Winter Service Project. See Mr. Cherup or Mrs. Dufresne if you know you are unable to attend.


In need of a book to read? a book to keep? Stop by the library and take one of our FREE BOOKS! The free books are located in the library quiet study area at the front corner of the library.


It’s time to start getting your act together! The Talent Show is coming up on December 15th. Tryouts will be on December 7th & 8th. We’re looking for all the diverse talent that we know is here at WHS. Remember, it’s time to stop being naughty, or you won’t be allowed to see the show!


Attention Key Club members! Key Club fees are due by Wednesday, November 15 to the student office.


The National Honor Society will be hosting a fundraiser at the Texas Roadhouse on Hilliard Rome Rd on TOMORROW from 4-10 PM. Go eat some tasty food and support NHS and Westland!


French club has been moved from Wednesday, November 15th to Wednesday, November 29th! There is no French club on the 15th.


Attention Renaissance club members! There is a mandatory meeting TOMORROW- Tuesday, November 14th at 7:15 am in room 505. If you are not able to attend you must contact Mrs. Yeo-Ball or Mrs. Walton before the meeting date. See you on Tuesday.


If you have any LOST & FOUND items, please check the Lost & Found in the Main office. Items will be discarded or donated on Tuesday November 21st.


Applications to join Yearbook Club are available! Pick one up in the ERC or the Student Office. Applications are due Tuesday, November 21. Applications should be submitted to Mr. Neal or Ms. Weber.
