Today is Human Trafficking Awareness Day. There are an estimated 27 million people around the globe that are trafficked. Human trafficking is a 3.6 billion dollar industry and is ranked #2 in the fastest growing criminal industry. Ohio is ranked 8th in the US with the potential for human trafficking.

There will be a FREE Financial Aid & Scholarship Fair on Saturday, January 20th from 10am-2pm. The event will be held at the Martin de Porres Center, 2330 Airport Drive, Columbus, OH 43219.
The financial aid workshop is a great opportunity to meet one-on-one with college professionals and experts who will inform parents and students about budgeting for college, loan management, repayment and the FAFSA. If you feel a little lost or like you might need some help paying for college, filling out the FAFSA, or just getting tips on scholarships or the Financial Aid Process this is the place for you!

Wednesday mornings ONLY, Ayanna Grace will run a leadership session in the auditorium. In order to play ball in the gym on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, you must attend Wednesday’s leadership session which begins this Wednesday Jan 10th from 7:15am-7:55am.
WHS will be offering ACT boot camp to juniors on February 12th. This is a $20 workshop to help you prepare for the February 27th ACT that all WHS juniors will be taking. You will leave with study materials and test taking strategies.

Mount Carmel College of Nursing is hosting an “Explore Nursing Day” on Saturday, March 10. You will get the chance to receive the hands-on experience of what it is like to be a nurse and explore the different careers within nursing.
