The library will be closed Thursday, May 17, for the senior gallery walk. Plan ahead!

 

Seniors – your library books are due no later than Friday May 18. If you have not turned your books in by this date, you will have to pay for them to graduate.

Underclassmen – your library books are due no later than Monday May 21. If you have not turned your books in by this date, they will be added to your fees.

 

The Westland Gaming Club only has a few meetings left in the school year!! The next meeting is this Wednesday, May 16th in Room 106 from 3:30-5pm. This meeting will have retro games on Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis, as well as current games and systems. Hope to see all members there!

Attention Student Council Members! The final meeting of the year will be on Thursday, May 24 after school in room 709. We will be having our end of year celebration and approving some details for homecoming next year. Student council members, be sure to swing by and take part in our end of year pizza party and help finalize those plans! See you next Thursday!! Nationwide Children’s Hospital is offering an Athletic Training Workshop for high school students. Cost is $110 (additional $5 if taking CPR class). This will be held in Westerville at the Nationwide Children’s Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center and Otterbein University, June 6 – 8.  Deadline is June 1, 2018. Prairie Township is seeking a limited number of students that live in the township to participate in its 2018 Summer Jobs Program.  This is an 8-week program that will begin on June 13 and run until August 7.  Eligible students are those that reside in incorporated Prairie Township, are at least 14 years old, and have completed grade 8, 9, 10 or 11 during the 2017-2018 school year.  Students will work 2-3 days per week, approximately 4 hours per day, between the hours of 8:00AM and 4:00 PM.

 

Sports

Attention all boys interested in playing soccer next year for Westland:  there will be an important player and parent meeting THIS Wednesday, May 16 at 6:30pm in the ERC.  Please come to this meeting with one parent or guardian so you can learn about the summer schedule and pick up necessary forms.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Dato in room 302.

 

Attention girls interested in playing tennis in the next school year.  Due to conflict, open courts will not be held this week.  Open courts will resume next Monday May 21 and May 23.  Any questions see Coach Hinckley before or after school-please no during class!
