ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS:

Mrs. Young will take cap & gown pictures on Friday, June 1 (after graduation practice) for any graduating senior who missed the photo day.   She will set up in the Rec Center.  Seniors will need to bring their caps & gowns for the picture.

Attention Student Council Members! The final meeting of the year will be on Thursday, May 24 after school in room 709. We will be having our end of year celebration and approving some details for homecoming next year. Prairie Township is seeking a limited number of students that live in the township to participate in its 2018 Summer Jobs Program.  This is an 8-week program that will begin on June 13 and run until August 7.  Eligible students are those that reside in incorporated Prairie Township, are at least 14 years old, and have completed grade 8, 9, 10 or 11 during the 2017-2018 school year.  Students will work 2-3 days per week, approximately 4 hours per day, between the hours of 8:00AM and 4:00 PM.

 

The end of the year is coming, but there is still time to do one more good thing before you leave this year. A group of Westland students have joined up with Kroger, Aldi, and Giant Eagle for a canned and non-perishable food drive for the Mid-Ohio food bank all this week. Bring donations of canned food or other non-perishable items to donation boxes at any of these stores or to the donation box in room 706. Anything helps!

 

Sports

Attention all girls interested in playing soccer next season. We will be having a Parent and Student Athlete meeting TOMORROW, May 22nd, at 6pm in the ERC. Schedules and important paperwork will be explained and handed out. Please bring a parent with you. See you there.

Attention all track athletes who finished the season!  Our banquet is on TONIGHT from 6 to 8 pm at the White Oak Shelter House in Darby Creek Metro Park.  Please plan on turning in your uniform and warm-ups on this day.  See Coach Eckard for details.  Freshmen bring a warm side, sophomores bring a cold side, juniors bring a dessert, and seniors just bring yourself and family.

 

Attention all track athletes!

Our annual track clean up day is this Wednesday, May 23rd from 3:30 to 4:30.  If you ran track this year, you are expected to help clean up and put track equipment away.  We will meet out at the track garage at 3:30 on Wednesday.
