The first Student Council Meeting of the year will be after school TOMORROW, September 6. The meetings take place in room 709 and are from 3:30-4:15. Completed nomination forms are due back to Mrs. Shore by Thursday, September 13th at the end of the day. Voting will take place On Thursday, September 20th.

Are you interested in running for the Class of 2019 President, Vice-President, or Secretary? Petitions to become a senior class officer are available in the student office. The Westland In The Know Team will be meeting Tuesday morning, September 11th, in room 403 at 7:30 AM. Any student who appreciates Jeopardy-like trivia questions and wants to be on TV should come. See Mr. VanDyne in rooms 403 or 504 throughout the day with any questions.

All current NHS members, listen up! We are going to be having our first meeting of the year on Thursday, September 6 in room 508 (Kissel’s room). We will be having two meetings, but you only need to attend ONE of them. We will be meeting from 7:30-7:50 in the morning, and 3:30-4:00 in the afternoon. Again, you only need to come to ONE of these meetings. Please bring 2 fundraiser ideas and 2 community service ideas with you to the meeting. If you are unable to attend, you must speak with Mrs. Weber or Mr. Kissel.
WHS Gymnastics – Open gyms start Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Gotta Flip Gym and will continue every Wednesday at the same time through the end of September. Season starts November 2018 so get signed up now. Stop in the Student Office and get a flier or stop by the Athletic Office for more information.
Girls’ Soccer took on Grove City last night and looked to improve on defense even though it felt like 100 degrees outside. Your Lady Cougars took a tough loss, and look forward to facing Galion away on Thursday. Wish us luck!
The boys soccer team traveled to Grove City last night for an inter district match against the Greyhounds. After a hard fought, steamy match, the team ended up on the losing side of a 4-2 game. Pepe Martinez and Axel Rodriguez each scored for the team while Mesiah Bawi provided an assist. The team’s record drops to 3-1-1 and will play tomorrow night at Gahanna.
