Hey creative cougars! Each month for the rest of the year, Pencil Dust, our school’s creative arts magazine, will be asking for submissions based on a theme. Since it’s October, our theme this month is spooky stories. Whether it’s stories about monsters, ghosts, or things that scare you in the night, we would love to see your best ideas. Please bring all submissions to Mr. Spooner.

Listen up Seniors!  Make your vote count!

Senior class officer elections are being done via a Google Form.  Check your email this week and be sure to vote for your class president, vice-president, and secretary.

Good luck to those students who are running.  Elected officers will be announced next Monday!

Do you like to read? If so, join the Westland Battle of the Books Team! We will travel to Westerville North High School in April to compete against other area high schools to see who knows more about the 25 books on the competition list. Interested? See Mrs. Young (or email her) in the library.

Do you enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films and taking photos? Then join us and have fun unleashing your inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme, “Heroes Around Me,” calls for your own unique interpretation through the arts. Pick up submission guidelines and an entry form today from Mr. Meeker or Mrs. Schorr the art teacher in rooms 1001 and 1005.  The due date for submissions will be announced soon. Do not wait to get started! For inspiration, visit the reflections visual art gallery and learn more about prices and scholarships at PTA.org/reflections.
